The Graduate School celebrates Latinx Heritage Month and lifts the voices of Hispanics—with an understanding of the complexities of cultural and national identities. The Graduate School also acknowledges people who do not identify as Hispanic whose voices are often sidelined.

The Summer Undergraduate Pipeline (SUP), an initiative of The Graduate School’s Diversity and Student Success program, increases visibility of research opportunities and graduate programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In doing so, SUP promotes diversity, equity, and access to graduate education at the University.
Diversity and Student Success held its annual Beyond These Walls event online in April 2021, which featured three doctoral students from the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience’s StAR lab.
The award recognizes promising, innovative proposals to enhance student success and degree completion at the master’s and doctoral levels while promoting inclusiveness.
Erb, who has co-directed The Graduate School’s Diversity and Student Success program since 2016, will support first-generation BU students in new role.
The honor recognizes work that is above and beyond assigned duties, among other contributions.
