Christopher Giardina has created surgical tools to assess cochlear trauma during implantation surgery, and they are already in use at UNC Hospitals. The Graduate School is honoring Giardina and other students for new discoveries that benefit our state.
‘Being able to understand the scientific literature in my field and design appropriate studies to address unanswered questions are two of the most valuable tools I took from grad school that I use in my work today,’ says this MPH alumna.
