Guess what, alumni! Gradschool News and The Fountain are getting a makeover.
For the past 13 years, each issue of The Fountain has brought you more than 20 pages of stories about the world-changing work of Carolina graduate students and alumni. Since 2011, we’ve updated you throughout the year with our newsletter, helping you keep your finger on the pulse of all things Tar Heel.
But the media landscape is changing, and we’re changing with it. The Graduate School is excited to offer our alumni a revamped publication that will share news both in print and online through a combination of text, visuals, video and audio. We hope these changes will connect you even more deeply to your own past at Carolina and to the promising futures of current graduate students.
A fresh, updated publication deserves a fresh, updated name. And who better to pick one than our own Carolina graduate students and alumni? We asked current graduate students to submit their own ideas about what this new publication’s name should be, and they delivered. The editorial staff had the daunting task of selecting five finalists. Now we want you to make the final choice.
