Haley Plaas is a Ph.D. student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill within the Department of Earth, Marine, & Environmental Sciences. Plaas served as lead author of an upcoming paper that examines the release of toxins from algal blooms in North Carolina waters into the air.
