Jeromy Rech, a doctoral student in chemistry, teaches at Durham Technical Community College, conducts research on solar panels, and leads outreach to help other graduate students: “I try to find every opportunity to continue to grow in my ability to teach and help others succeed.”

Atticus Jaramillo, a Ford Foundation Predoctoral fellow, works to help undergraduate students prepare for graduate school. He says this allows him to “pay forward the advantages I have been fortunate enough to receive.”

Michele Kelley, who has both a Royster Fellowship and a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship, is pursuing innovative research and also seeking ways to encourage others to pursue science.
