Lily Herbert ’16 is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Geography housed in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s College of Arts and Sciences. Herbert is a 2022 recipient of the Ou Family Summer Research Fellowship, which has allowed her to work on her dissertation, centering on hate crime legislation and its geographical ties.
