The Frank Porter Graham Graduate and Professional Student Honor Society has inducted Ryan Collins ’11 and Elizabeth Poindexter ’10 (MA ’19) as of spring 2021.

Collins, a third-year student at the UNC School of Law, is the outgoing president of Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG). Collins also holds a master’s degree in education from North Carolina State University. The GPSG advocates, collaborates, and connects graduate and professional students to the University and beyond. The society also inducted 18 additional graduate and professional students into its ranks.

Poindexter, who joined The Graduate School as director of communications in March 2021, received the recognition for her work supporting graduate and professional students in the Department Allied Health Sciences at the UNC School of Medicine, where she served as director of communications for five and a half years.

The society recognizes outstanding service provided to the University and community by graduate and professional students enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Further, it recognizes the contributions of faculty, staff, and friends of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill who have made outstanding contributions to the development of graduate and professional education at the University.
