StigmaFree Carolina, an initiative of The Graduate School’s Royster Society of Fellows, will host a virtual panel discussion on mental health within the Black community on Nov. 2.

Panelists for the 5-6:30 p.m. event are:

  • Xavier Bonner, Graduate Student, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Founder and President of the Society for Black Biomedical Scientists at UNC-Chapel Hill
  • April Highlander, Graduate Student, Psychology and Neuroscience
  • Henry Willis, Graduate Student, Psychology and Neuroscience
  • Charla Blumell, Ph.D., Assistant Director of Health Promotion and Prevention at Student Wellness

StigmaFree Carolina is a UNC-Chapel Hill community campaign, initially conceived by members of the Royster Society, aimed at reducing stigma toward mental health concerns and treatment.
